Physical requirements

Receiving area
Min 200 sq ft dedicated lane with conveyor or sort table. Climate-controlled (50–80°F).
Imaging station
Overhead camera rig (we supply spec; you buy hardware). 4K minimum, fixed lighting.
Scale + dim measurer
0.01 lb resolution; dim measurement accurate to ±0.5". Bluetooth or USB integration.
Secure storage
30-day capacity for routed inbound volume. Cage or rack with access logs.
Destruction capability
On-site shredder, baler, or contracted disposal partner with certificate generation.

Operational requirements

Operator certification
2-day in-person training at NJ-01 or remote video certification for grading consistency.
Inbound SLA
Receive + photograph + grade within 24h of carrier scan, 95% of parcels.
Audit cadence
Weekly random sample audit by areturnz QA team. >97% grade-match required.
Insurance
Goods-in-transit coverage minimum $1M per incident. Workers comp current.
Volume floor
300+ parcels/month sustained to maintain node status.

Technical integration

Network connectivity
Stable broadband, 100Mbps up minimum. Backup 4G/5G recommended.
Workstation software
Our operator app runs on macOS/Windows/iPad. We provide; you deploy.
Webhook reachability
Outbound HTTPS to our endpoints. No special inbound firewall config needed.
Photo storage
Local cache buffers ≥7 days of upload backlog in case of network issues.

Commercial terms

Per-parcel revenue
Negotiated per node based on volume, location, capability set. Typical range disclosed under NDA.
Onboarding fee
Covers training, hardware spec, integration support. Refundable against 12-month volume.
Term
12-month initial; auto-renew. 60-day exit notice either side.
Branding
areturnz network mark visible on inbound area + operator badges. White-label of customer-facing evidence optional.
